Confirmation Class

The process within the Episcopal Church for becoming an Episcopalian often begins with Confirmation Classes.  Youth who are asking thoughtful questions about the meaning of life and how the religions of the world have sought to respond to such questions are ready to enroll in Confirmation Classes.  These classes do not require that participants commit to being confirmed as an Episcopalian, though most do.  Rather the classes are offered to introduce youth to the world of religion and to the various practices entailed in living a spiritual life. The classes, 4-6 of them held usually on Saturday mornings, are scheduled several months ahead of when a Confirmation Service is scheduled to be held at Ascension Church or in a neighboring parish within the North Shore Episcopal Deanery.
