$15.00

Helen Badenhausen and Frank Corbin began their duo piano partnership in 2013. Over the next six years, they played frequently at Ascension Memorial Church in Ipswich during Sunday services, performed several public recitals, and played every summer at Ipswich's East End Art Show. This CD is a compilation of live performances from two recitals, one on March 2 of 2014 and one on March 13 of 2016, featuring two standards of the 4-hand repertoire, Fauré's Dolly Suite and Debussy’s Petite Suite. Also included is the delightful Sonata in D major of Mozart and the hauntingly beautiful Prelude, Fugue, and Variation by César Franck, an organ work arranged by the composer as an organ and piano duet. With Helen’s passing on October 7, 2020, the CD is released as a memorial tribute to her extraordinary talent and kind, generous spirit. Proceeds benefit the Ascension Memorial Music Fund.
